I went to a great conference today. It was "Inspired Circle of Women" in Clinton, NY at Hamilton College. Check out the website for Leaders for Life International. The leader, Teresa Higgins was phenomenal and I met many new lifelong friends. The connections we make on a daily basis have the potential of being amazing and deep or brief and shallow. My experience in attending events like this is that the connections are deep right off the bat and usually solid. That is not to say that I can't easily hide under a rock again and ignore all of the gems I have taken away with me today. I could but I don't want to. So that is a choice I am making to continue to make deep connections with other professional women. I believe the Margaret Mead quote sums up the group of women I was with today when she said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” To go a step further, it is compassionate, professional women who will make the changes that the world needs. And I for one am planning to be on board. Who's with me?
