The MVWP Summer Institute is done. It ended yesterday. I am exhausted. It was so well worth it though I'm proud to say that I am a MVWP Teacher Consultant. It enables me to do workshops in the future. I learned a lot, I wrote a lot and I laughed a lot. I would recommend it to anyone who is willing to work hard during our summer break as teachers and to take the writing part seriously. MVWP will still be a part of my life even though SI is over because it still goes on in workshops, meetings and inservices throughout the year and during the summer.
I can see the end. The end is near. The end of the school year is a crazy, whirlwind of activities and headaches. I am so excited that I am going to be a part of the Mohawk Valley Writing Project (MVWP) at Utica College this summer. A whole month seems daunting at first but it will be ok in the end. There will hopefully be a lot of writing and maybe even something I can take away and work on to turn into something more. Who knows? I''l keep you posted. Check out the National Writing Project site here.
